Although Michelada season may be winding down, in Texas and California, is it ever really over? As autumn has arrived across most of the country, Texas is still in Michelada season. In fact, on October 13th, Fort Worth will host Michelada Festival to celebrate our favorite beer cocktail. So, let’s take a look at what to expect at this year’s Michelada Festival in Fort Worth, TX.

You can’t make a Michelada without a good Mexican beer, and Fort Worth’s event will highlight Estrella Jalisco, a pilsner from Guadalajara, Jalisco. With its light, crisp flavor, Estrella Jalisco is the perfect beer for a flavorful Michelada. At 4.5% alcohol, it’s sure to get people in good spirits. Finally, Estrella Jalisco, a popular beer in Mexico’s state of Jalisco, was introduced to the U.S. in 2016.

The Michelada Vendors Bringing The Flavor

The star of most Michelada Festivals is, without a doubt, the various vendors serving up liters upon liters of delicious Miche mixes. In fact, Fort Worth’s event will be home to 13 different Michelada vendors, each serving up their variation of the deep red cocktail mix. What Food Will Be Available At Michelada Fest?

You can’t have Micheladas without great food, and the event organizers know it. Fortunately, attendees will have plenty of options to enjoy at the festival. Kicking things off is Elotes Lokos, a Mexican street corn vendor famous for their Hot Cheetos Elotes—corn on the cob smothered in Hot Cheetos dust and drizzled with creamy sauce. For those with caveman appetites, Texas Turkey Legs will be serving up massive turkey legs. Additionally, other offerings include El Salvadoran pupusas from Cheros Latin Kitchen, street-style hot dogs from Hot Dogs El Buda, and sweet treats from Heaven’s Cakes and Waffly Delicious. Endless Entertainment Takes The Stage At Michelada Festival, Fort Worth.

If you’re heading to the Michelada Festival for the food and drinks, make sure to bring a solid pair of dancing boots. Starting at 12pm and going until 8 PM, the lineup is setup with varying Latin sounds. First up, Quimikoz del Son, whose unique blend of traditional cumbia and hip hop grit will set your feet in motion. For those who love Norteño music, La Nacion Norteña will deliver perfect rancho rhythms. Finally, anchoring the festival is the big name, Keith Nieto, whose saxophone-infused Norteño sound is a perfect way to close out the evening.
